Discover What Type of Yoga Influencer You Are

Size isn’t everything. Regardless of the numbers (a.k.a. number of followers) you have on social media or Instagram, remember you’ve got pull. Online and Offline.

You’ve got influence.

With your audience. With your followers. And with your students. With your colleagues. And with your communities. With your friends. With your family.

On and offline. In real life. And on social media.

YOU make an impact and a difference. YOU inspire.

Influencer Marketing is a BIG DEAl

Influencer marketing is huge right now. It’s a big deal to be an influencer, for businesses looking to promote their own brand and for yoga teachers or businesses looking to grow their own yoga brand.

And guess what? Influencer marketing is just getting fired up. Influencers and the power of influencers on social media isn’t going away anytime soon.

Influencer Types

Wondering what type you are? Here’s how influencer types break down.

Mega Influencers: Accounts with 1M+ followers

Macro Influencers: 500K – 1M Followers

Mid-Tier Influencers: 50K – 500K Followers

Micro-Influencers: 10K-50K Followers

Nano Influencers: 1K – 10K Followers

But what about smaller accounts?

What do you call those smaller accounts? ‘Cause of course, they are influencers too. Even if one person gets another to change their mindset, buy something, do something, agree or disagree with a view… well, that’s influence, too.

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen the discussion of what to call these smaller followings in the comments of my influencer type post.

Here are some of the name ideas for accounts with fewer than 1000 followers generated in that discussion:

  • Baby Nano
  • Micro-nanoinfluencer
  • Petite Influencer

Don’t Be Discouraged with Growth

If you don’t have big numbers yet, don’t be discouraged. Keep in mind, you don’t have to have thousands of followers to grow a wildly successful yoga business.

To grow on social media, there’s no secret, sure to bring in followers formula, but there are some key things to do that WILL boost your influence. Here are three of those things:

1. Consistency. You’ve got to stay at it. Stay active on social media. Post consistently. To help you stay consistent, grab a copy of my free Instagram content planner.

2. Quality Content. You have to contribute quality content. This includes quality images and captions. There’s no way to rise to the top of the influencer game without solid content.

3. Be social. You absolutely must be social and engage with other accounts and people on social media. It’s not enough just to post content occasionally and logoff. The whole point is to build a community. To build connections. And to build trust so that people take interest in what you’re selling or offering.
